What you get
The Ocean BiMINI is very petite. It has a firm base though is flexible towards the end of the toy. It is run by a single motor in the main stem of the vibrator meaning that much of the vibrations will stem towards the insertable length rather than focus on clitoral stimulation. The vibrator runs by single touch buttons, meaning that you simply click the plus or minus signs to cycle through your vibration speeds and patterns. This vibrator is also quite unusual in its design, curved in shape of a silicone wave mimicking, albeit distantly, the shape of a classic rabbit vibrator.
Vibrations – Does it match up to the rabbit?
It is a somewhat unusual choice that Fun Factory have made by providing a mini range of rabbit vibrators (see the Pearly or the Flash in the same range by FF for example). Given that these vibrators aren’t particularly lengthy, the emphasis on the clitoral aspect becomes a question mark for some users looking for a portable version of their favourite rabbit. However, one thing that isn’t a bone of contention for most is the power of this single motor technology:
“Powerful and quiet, the smooth silicone shaft is a thing of beauty…but wait until you try it out! It has 8 different vibration settings and that will take you from a soft pulse to a mind-numbing buzz.”
– says http://www.dildoreview.co.uk/Dildo-detail/fun-factory-ocean-bimini-deluxe-vibe-rechargeable-vibrator/
“Although the vibrations of the BiMINI Ocean aren’t over the top the way they are in the Hitachi Magic Wand, they are still powerful and deep. On it’s highest setting, the BiMINI Ocean definitely has some oomph, but be warned!”
– says PearlsandBareFeet on http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=26918
The vibrations are concentrated towards the G-spot stem of the toy and for that reason, the BiMini Ocean isn’t really considered part of the clitoral range of vibrators. So while they certainly pack as much heat as longer rabbits out there, they might be best considered as a massager or G-spot toy. In fact, stockist LoveHoney recommend this particular vibe as a G-spot orientated vibrator.
Does it hit the spot and does size matter?
As with Fun Factory’s Pearly and Flash in the same range, this vibrator certainly packs a punch and, used correctly, can provide strong stimulation. Points for portability go here too given that this little beauty is certainly among the more powerful luxury vibes. However, size queens need not apply in order to get the most out of their g-spot experience:
“It’s small enough that it’s non-threatening, but large enough that it gives definite stimulation”
– says PearlsandBareFeet on http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=26918
The unique shape the Ocean has makes it not just a pretty feature either:
“The deep ridges that flow down the shaft curve and move with the shape of the vibrator, creating an intense feeling when inserted. The wave like curve at the head is ideally created to massage and caress your g-spot, whilst the smaller wave-like curl goes to work on your clitoris.”
Being attractive, powerful and portable means that, if the reviews are anything to go by, if you’re looking for a springboard experience to G-spot stimulation the Ocean Mini is for you. However, clitoral and deep penetration girls might find the size and shape, conversely a bit of a let down. It really depends on which concentrated areas you wish to stimulate.

Similarly, the silicone head of this toy is fairly flexible so be wary if you prefer firmer G-spot stimulus.
Rechargeable and Quiet?
The Click n’ Charge technology from Fun Factory is very easy to use and innovative. A magnetic ‘fun’ socket on the bottom can be found to simply plug your device in to the mains charger while an LED light will let you know when the charge is complete. An initial three hour charges is recommended in order to get around an hour to an hour and a half of run time on the highest vibration settings. Generally, the battery life is confirmed to deliver what it claims and is simple to charge and to use.
The motor isn’t the quietest and has an average review of around 3 out of 5 on this scale:
“Although this vibrator is relatively quiet, it’s far from being a nearly silent hum the way other luxury vibrators are.”
It is also advised that you charge your rabbit for around twelve hours first time around so better to pop it into the charge before work or bed to get the most out of your playtime.
Waterproof
The Ocean earns it’s name by being waterproof. Take it to the shower of bath to extend the fun you can have with this vibrator.
Beginner Friendly
Yes, absolutely. This little vibrator is considered one of the more beginner friendly vibrators out there. In terms of size, at only 5.5 inches this vibe is powerful enough to stimulate, ergonomically designed to hit the g-spot with some positioning but not overwhelming enough to impose upon a beginner.
With the simple Click n’ charge technology in place, there are no fiddly instructions and you merely move between two buttons (- and +) to increase or decrease speeds and patterns.
More experienced users may wish to skip out on this one as it doesn’t provide the most intense experience G-spot or otherwise though makes a useful massager or portable addition to your toy box. This particular reviewer explains it best:
“Whether it stands up to the rabbit is entirely up to you. I personally think that it doesn’t miss the mark much…it could perhaps do with a big brother for the more experienced user, but it does hit the spot very well”
This is a great experimental toy and the price is right at only £39.99 for vibrators in this range.

And for a great (figurative!) explanation of how this vibrator should be used to get the most out of it see this great tutorial by ExploringIntimacy:
It also doesn’t come with it’s own satin bag like other vibrators so you might wish to consider an additional purchase along with your water based lubrication to store your silicone product.
Where To Buy

Conclusion
This is a great portable vibrator and the price is right for what the Ocean BiMINI from Fun Factory does. Perhaps considered more as a G-spot than rabbit style vibrator, this little pocket rocket can be a whole world of fun when used in conjunction with other toys, for a quick thrill or an introductory toy for the newcomer.
