What you get
The Fun Factory’s update of their classic Paul and Paulina Vibrator brings this old favourite bang up to date. An attractive shade of pink (also available in purple), the G4 has a fun, light feel and look to it coming complete with a comical pair of eyes on the clitoral stem and another on the specially curved G-spot stimulator. As with most rabbit vibes, the G4 aims to please…with three vibrating patterns and eight intensities, the G4 is certainly packing some heat. But will it deliver the dual stimulation many rabbits of its kind promise?
Dual stimulation?
The sheer popularity of the rabbit vibrator means that choosing your vibe just became more difficult. There is plenty out there available on the marketplace today from big names such as SwanVibes, Picobong, the LoveHoney Happy Rabbit range or the infamous LELO range. Yet each is slightly different than the other and may be suited for different kinks depending on the sensitivity and variation you enjoy in your playtime. So let’s see how this measures up.
The shape of the G4 might be something that will either entice or put off a lot of customers. Described as ‘Caterpillar-like’, the two stems are ribbed in rounded sections. Now, this is purely a matter of preference. Some girls like the ribbed textures, some girls don’t. A good comparison might be the Kaya by PicoBong or the LELO INA. If you’ve never tried ridged toys before, generally speaking, most buyers of the G4 were more than happy with this design:
“Just using the Paul and Paulina as a thrusting internal vibrator was stimulating thanks to its ribbed belly.”
– says Llellsee http://www.llellsee.com/2013/05/fun-factory-paul-and-paulina-vibrator.html
“To be honest, I didn’t buy this toy specifically for the vibrations. I find the ripples and of the insertable part enough to get me off…”
– says Cherrylick on http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=22138&reviewpage=1#customer_reviews
There is also a high level of praise for the length and girth of the G4. In fact, due to his size and flexibility, G-spot hitting ‘Paul’, the vaginal stimulator appears to be very popular indeed with buyers:
“This flexibility is also in the main shaft (Paul?), which definitely adds to the orgasmic-ness giving ability of the toy!”
– Says Divine69 on http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=22138&reviewpage=1#customer_reviews
“The G4 Paul & Paulina is a good dual-stimulating vibrator that is versatile and powerful. It fit my anatomy, hitting both my g-spot and my clitoris.”
– says DeliciousSuprise on http://www.edenfantasys.com/sex-toy-reviews/anal-toys/g4-paul-paulina-reviews
Paulina however, the clitoral arm, hasn’t been shown much love. Major criticisms about the length and girth of Paul nixing the use of the clitoral arm have come about. If you’re into major clitoral stimulation, this product probably isn’t for you:
“For us, size and flex of the clit vibe were the issues.”
– says IntoYou on http://www.edenfantasys.com/sex-toy-reviews/anal-toys/g4-paul-paulina-reviews
The rabbit ‘ear’ isn’t as long as you’ll find on other products which may be a drawback for some. For those who prefer deeper, G-spot orientated thrusting, Paul at least seems to do the trick while Paulina is a nice little addition to the mix.
Another fun note to add is that the G4 is also widely used for anal stimulation it appears, being sold in the ‘anal’ section of many websites. Depending on your tastes, this crafty duo could be more than a one trick rabbit!
Powerful motor?
Now, unlike some of its competitors, the G4 holds just a single motor in the main stem. Will vibe queens want to pay out £64.99 for a single motor while dual motorised vibes out there like the LoveHoney Happy Rabbit range is out there for £49.99? Let’s see what these customers have to say:
“Even though there wasn’t a motor in the clitoral arm, the vibrations were transmitted through adequately, and I was able to enjoy myself with it.”
– Delicious Surprise of http://www.edenfantasys.com/sex-toy-reviews/anal-toys/g4-paul-paulina-reviews
“the strong and rumbly vibrations throughout the shaft and clitoral attachment saved this. Not one for those who need longer clitoral attachments though.”
– says Llellsee http://www.edenfantasys.com/sex-toy-reviews/anal-toys/g4-paul-paulina-reviews
“Even though there is not a separate motor in the Paulina part (clitoral arm), the vibrations were strong enough from the shaft that they stimulated me through it”
– says Jen on http://www.holisticwisdom.com/paul-paulina-fun-factory.htm
Overall, the G4 seems to hold its own in this department. The single motor function doesn’t appear to hold it back. The three speed vibrations are controlled with two buttons. To switch on merely press the + button and continue to press to increase the vibrations. Pressing the * button will skip through several pulsing and escalating modes. It’s hardly rocket science and extremely user friendly as well as effective.
Battery Life
The G4 requires up to six hours of charging to use on full power. While this may seem like a long time, it’s about average for rechargeable vibrators. However, with many users quoting a run time of about 45 minutes, the G4 might not be suitable for those who want longer play sessions.
Silent running?
Yes, yes and yes! Customer reviews broadly agree that this particular vibrator is one of the quietest around. For the power behind it, this is quite some feat with many vibrators failing rather poorly on this score:
“. So much better than my past two rabbits. It is so much quieter too! Which is fabulous as the walls between houses here are so thin!”
– Says Fifty Shades on http://www.lovehoney.co.uk/product.cfm?p=22138&reviewpage=1#customer_reviews
“It is quiet with multiple speeds with a full shaft that is great for women that like it nice and thick.”
– Says Jen on http://www.holisticwisdom.com/paul-paulina-fun-factory.htm
Scoring an average of around a 95% positive feedback on quietness of reviews found on Lovehoney and Amazon, the G4 is every kind of discreet you would want in a vibrator.
Extras
The bubbly texture has been commented upon by many users as unique and highly stimulating, as we’ve seen. This design isn’t as well known on the vibrator market and is rather specific to the G4. If ridges are your friend then so is the G4.
The G4 doesn’t come with a particular storage facility though it does come with a little splash of Fun Factory’s own lubricaiton. This is a nice feature appreciated by many customers, given that safe, comfortable play requires lots of lubrication.
Finally, a lot of love was shown to the hooked handle on the base of the vibrator. Fun Factory’s G4 can’t really be faulted for these little additional touches and customers certainly like them:
“Another thing about this that I like is the egg-shaped finger handle which makes it a lot easier to keep a hold on the toy.”
– says http://www.llellsee.com/2013/05/fun-factory-paul-and-paulina-vibrator.html?zx=8a25bc8fdef1214b
The toy is also waterproof. This not only makes it fun to play with in the shower or bath but it’s easy to clean by default. The G4 also lacks any unpleasant smell and is scentless.
Beginner Friendly?
Given that this toy seems to be geared towards G-spot stimulation more so than clitoral, probably not. People generally either loved it or disliked it. Know your body and your kinks before investing in a G4. The toy has proven a delight to those women who prefer deep G-Spot stimulation with it’s longer shaft and thick head. It has also proven a hit with those who prefer the ribbed rather than smooth vibrators.
The G4 overall isn’t particularly difficult to use which is a massive plus, though clitoral girls might find the toy slightly lacking. In which case, check out the LELO INA 2 or one of the Swan Vibes range:

Conclusion
The G4 might not have fared as well in customer reviews as other rabbit vibrators in the same price range, but for those who appreciate the design and target areas the toy stimulates it is a definite hit. G Spot stimulation is certainly the aim of the Paul, though Paulina misses the target in the clitoral area. The design and preferences of many rabbit vibes make this a common complaint. Given that this product is a little more specific to certain areas than others it is suggested that you shop around a little first before deciding if the G4 is right for you.
